The first edition of The Animal Desk Reference: Essential Oils for Animals was written by Melissa Shelton DVM and  focuses on the use of Young Living Essential Oils with animals.  The book was completed in 2011, and published in 2012.  Never before had there been a book that described the use of essential oils for animals so completely.  However, that vast changes in knowledge and recommendations demanded the 2nd edition to come to completion.  The ADR covers all animals including dogs, cats, fish, birds, reptiles, small exotics, ferrets, horses, cattle, sheep, goats, even hippos and elephants.  The Animal Desk Reference explains the fundamental concepts of using essential oils with animals, as well as recommendations for many health concerns related to each species.
